Rom completed her legal studies in the United Kingdom where she was awarded the Bachelor of Laws with Honours in 2018. She further obtained a Master of Laws in Professional Legal Practice Course at the University of Law, in London, 2019, with electives in Real Estate, Commercial Dispute Resolution, Employment and Mergers and Acquisitions.
Rom’s passion for law arrived early. At the age of 17, Rom was accepted into a mini- pupillage scheme. This was the beginning of her legal career when Rom gained invaluable insight into life as a lawyer by observing and working alongside other Lawyers and Barristers in different legal fields. Working in a high-pressure environment and witnessing the professional pride and conduct of her peers, confirmed to Rom that life as a Lawyer was for her. Rom gained further practical knowledge from performing Pro Bono work at the Employment Tribunal, and a Summer Vacation Scheme at a Boutique Law Firm in London.
After her tertiary UK qualifications, Rom came to Australia in 2019 with the desire to follow her passion and establish a legal career in Sydney. Immigration law was one particular area of interest for Rom, having gained first-hand experience in the complexity of Australian Immigration Law. Rom’s role at Harbourside is the Legal Case Manager. Her knowledge of law, and client relation skills, assist in the management of all new and ongoing legal cases, and Rom works closely with the legal teams and Senior Management on a day-to-day basis. In her spare time, Rom likes to work out, listen to podcasts, and read books on personal self-development.
